Prayers for those Heading to the March for Life

Right now I'm sitting at my desk at home watching the snow falling and falling and falling.  About an hour ago a friend called to say that our bus to the March for Life was cancelled by the pastor of the parish.  It's understandable.  We're supposed to get about a foot or more of snow here in Queens and the driving this afternoon was already treacherous.  Oh, well.  You never know what the weather will be like on January 22nd, but generally you can be pretty sure that it won't be that great.  People always ask, why do you have the March in January?  I guess the Supreme Court could have issued its Roe v. Wade decision at a more hospitable time, weather wise.  But, it seems that God had other plans and part of those plans seems to include an added dose of penance that can manifest itself in snow and ice and wind and rain.

So, in this week in which the governor of our State declared that pro lifers were extremists and not fit to live in New York, I'll be joining my fellow "extremists" in prayer from home.  Wish I could be there in person.  There is no greater cause than the defense of innocent human life.  Even if it makes supposedly Catholic politicians think you don't deserve to be heard.
