I cannot believe it has been one whole year since Pope Benedict XVI, one of the most humble pontiffs in history, announced his resignation from the papacy. Though his resignation brought great sadness, it is so fulfilling to see the amazing work accomplished this past year by his humility through the graces of Pope Francis. We continue to pray for Pope Francis and for our Pope Emeritus, who has been such a great inspiration in my life and the lives of many others.
I can truly say that I am a faithful Catholic, because of the role Pope Benedict has had in my life. He inspired me through his Petrine ministry and continues to inspire in his many writings. He is a man full of undying love for God and for Holy Mother Church.
