The Transitus - Passing of St. Francis to Eternal Life

Today is the celebration of the "Transitus."  The day that Franciscans around the world remember the passing of St. Francis of Assisi to eternal life.

The Transitus is celebrated on the eve of the feast day of St. Francis and is a time dedicated to remembering with joy his life and holiness.  More information can be found at the Franciscan Spiritual Center website.
